Too Busy to Haiku?

Haiku FridayLife seems to whirl on
like a train, roaring, pulling
detritus behind.

Run, struggle, scramble,
keep up, keep track, keep on top,
claw, cling, clutch it all.

Then shatter against
this one slow breath of truth:
To hold on, let go.

  2. So wonderful. Since reading your haikus I've been inspried to write a poem each morning in my journal. They mostly suck, but somehow they free my brain. Oddly though, I haven't tried a haiku. I think it has something to do with being forced to write them in my 3rd grade handwriting book.
Have you ever read http://gottabook.blogspot.com/--he does "fibs" which are kind of cool and based, loosely, on haiku. I haven't tried those either, but soon.
