Where the Wild Things Are Recovering Haikus

Haiku FridayNext weekend is Mark's
Sex Addicts Anonymous
annual retreat.

Every year I joke,
"I could send prostitutes there
and make a killing!"

Every year he laughs
and says "I'm off to sex camp."
We kiss bye, smiling.

Recovery and
addiction may be no joke,
but it helps to laugh.

  1. True, true. I remember once when my brother asked my mom if he'd taken the wrong dose of a certain medicine. I said (from experience), "ah, don't worry about it - you can take a couple of handfuls of those things and you'll still wake up in the morning." Hey, better laugh than cry.
